Through the Circular Tourism Program – 4Rs we aim to establish an efficient and sustainable system for the management and disposal of waste generated in the tourist area of Cartagena, in order to minimize its environmental impact and promote a culture of environmental responsibility in the community.
This is done through actions such as the implementation of selective containers for waste separation, the promotion of material reduction and reuse practices, training the population on the importance of proper waste management, the design of efficient collection and transport strategies, and the identification of opportunities for the recycling and recovery of waste generated in the area. In addition to a monitoring and evaluation plan to evaluate the effectiveness of the project and make adjustments if necessary.
Eco-Cycle Certification
It highlights establishments that meet criteria related to the proper management of their usable solid waste, that wish to be recognized for their efforts on the subject and that want annual recognition of their work and contribution to the social and environmental well-being of the city through the comprehensive management of their waste.

- Eco-Cycle certification, awarded by Ambientados within the framework of the Circular Tourism Program.
- Advertising and visibility on the allies page as a sustainable tourist destination.
- Advertising in activities carried out as part of the Circular Tourism Program.
- Possibility of participating in environmental activities or training on these topics, developed by the company Ambientados.
- Improve reputation and market positioning, highlighting recycling activities and getting customers involved when appropriate.
- Reduction of costs in the operation.
- Progress in compliance with the requirements of Sectoral Technical Standards, in the event that they are not available.
- Compliance with environmental regulatory obligations.
